This report shows the popularity of the web pages on your website. Pages are ranked by the number of times the page was requested by the visitors (number of hits ). Deep Log Analyzer considers request to only files with specific extensions as pageviews. These extensions include html, htm, asp, aspx, php, and others. CSS stylesheets, javascript files, graphics (gif, jpg, etc.), sound (wav, mp3,...), video (avi, mpg,...) files are not considered as pages and are not shown in this report. Data Transferred column shows how many total Kb were transferred by the web server to the visitors for each viewed page.
Click Expand button in toolbar or + signs to view second level of the report. Second level shows the list of referrers that lead visitors to this page. Referring ULRs are ranked by the number of referrals (shown Number of Hits column). If referrer is a search engine recognized by Deep Log Analyzer that row also includes search engine name and search phrase used to find your website's page. NO REFERRAL row means that the file was requested directly by typing URL in the browser or by referral from another page on your website (in case if Remove Self Referrals option is on in Project Settings) Benefits - See whether most visitors view important website content. If not, you may need to restructure or change pages layout on your website to ensure that this critical information can be easily located. Notes - This report includes both successful and error hits - You may configure the file extensions list by which Deep Log Analyzer recognizes files as pages, downloads and graphics. To do this open config.mdb file located in DLA's folder in MS Access and edit FileExtension table. Add, remove file extensions or change the type of the extension. It is recommended to reimport (delete from database and import again) log files into the project after editing file type definitions in order to have the changes reflected in the reports. - Page names in this report may include URL parameters as specified on Dynamic Content tab in Project Settings window. If Retain URL Parameters option is marked on Deep Log Analyzer will show requests to the same page with different parameters as requests to the different pages and put them in separate rows in this report. For example, the following requests will be shown in separate rows: default.asp, default.asp?ref=ad1, default.asp?ref=ad2 You should also turn on Retain URL Parameters option if your website's pages content is dynamic (database driven sites) and is controlled by URL parameter(s), for example: article.cgi?articleid=1000; article.cgi?articleid=10123; article.cgi?articleid=1452. In this case you should specify in Project Settings to retain only articleid parameter as it controls what is actually displayed on the web page.
